So, now that the wall is down, it's time to start making this remodel project look like a real home.
As I've said before, my dad is super handy. So, I called him up to give us some tile-laying advice. He ended up just staying and helping us finish the project. I think he liked showing Wade how to do it too :)
Wade, laying the grout for the tile. (Even though we had the house insulated, and the wall was knocked down, this portion of the house wasn't quite hooked up to our new geo-loop, so it was still a little chilly. That's why Wade has his coat on :)
It was my job to wipe down the grout residue that was left on top of the tile.
FINISHED! :)
And a little (no big) pat on the back for project: complete!
On to the big project- flooring the dining and hallway.
We called up Ben's brother-in-law, Joe. He installs flooring like it's his job!
So, Joe brought his crew- Ben's sister, Jessie, Joe's friend, Pat, and Pat's kids, and we had a flooring party!
We used a Pergo laminate- but have gotten several compliments on how it looks like real hard wood.
LOVE the finished result- KITCHEN!
Laying it in the dining room.
Down the hallway- sorry about the darkness of the photo!
SHEW! LOVE it!
Tomorrow: Finishing touches
